A McCrery Architects designed wrought iron gate was recently installed at Saint Dominic’s Parish Church in Washington, DC. Inspired by the work of famed blacksmith Samuel Yellin and fabricated by Anvilworks, LLC, this gate serves to create a special place for quiet contemplation and prayer for brides as they prepare for wedding celebrations in the church.

Since posting on our work for Saint Dominic’s Parish Church earlier this year, McCrery Architects has been fortunate to have completed two new projects for our friend Father Schommer. Earlier this summer, the devotional chapel to Saint Joseph was completely renovated, with a new altar, new statue, and new niche. Just last week, Mountain View Millworks installed two new sets of choir stalls in the Sanctuary. As always, it has been a pleasure working with him, as his work is of the highest quality.
Saint Dominic’s Parish Church in Washington, DC has been sharing photographs on their Facebook Page of the recent ordination mass held on May 23rd, in which new priests were welcomed into the Dominican Order. In these photos they have great images of the recently constructed Reredos decorated with flowers and being used as a backdrop for the mass. Look back even farther into the photo archives and you can see photographs of it under construction.
Construction Begins this week on 2 new sets of Choir Stalls for Saint Dominic’s Parish Church in Washington, D.C. Mountain View Millworks will be building these pieces along with a new Altar for the Saint Joseph Chapel.
